Anura Bandara, PT, COMT
Anura Bandara is a Physical Therapist with over 30 years of work experience. Anura is skilled at working with patients of all ages in a wide variety of orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions.
He enjoys using his skills and creativity to design comprehensive treatment plans to help his patients achieve their rehabilitation and functional goals.
He is certified in orthopedic manual therapy with Maitland Institute and he is trained as functional capacity evaluator with Roy Matheson Institute. He also has experience in performing work conditioning evaluation in the management of patients with industrial and work related injuries.

Veronica Cecchini, PT, MPT
Veronica joined MidAmerica Orthopaedics in March of 2020.
She graduated from St. Xavier University with honors in Biology in 2005 where she also ran cross country as a St. Xavier Cougar. She then graduated from Governor’s State University in 2008 with her Masters degree in Physical Therapy.
Veronica comes to MidAmerica with a strong orthopaedic background having worked closely with several orthopaedic physician groups over the years. She also has management experience which has contributed to her professional growth as a clinician, sharpening her organizational and communication skills.

Linda Griffis, PT, CMT
Linda is a graduate of University of Illinois, Chicago School of Massage and completion of residency program in Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy. Linda is a former collegiate athlete, competitive natural bodybuilder, who believes in a lifelong healthy and fit lifestyle.
Linda comes to MidAmerica Orthopaedics with the vast majority of her career and expertise working side by side with orthopedic specialists and sports medicine specialists; taking pride in patient outcome and satisfaction.

David Hughes PT, DPT
David earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Illinois in 2017. Physical therapy is not his first career, as he was a high school Spanish teacher in Virginia, was an account manager for a transportation company and worked for a publisher before attending PT school.
During PT school, David saw patients in various hospital settings, long-term care, occupational medicine and outpatient orthopedics. He particularly enjoys the interactions with his patients, working with compassion and caring for their well-being. His particular favorite part of PT is seeing his patients improve in their function and mobility, from a variety of diagnoses and physical limitations.

Elise Rohan, PT, DPT
Elise has her Doctorate in Physical Therapy and has been working at MidAmerica Orthopedics since graduating PT school in 2012.
Her physical therapy education focused highly on evidence based practice and functional patient outcomes. Elise uses patient input and creativity to design the best treatment plan for her patients.

Maggie Szaflarska, PT, DPT
Maggie graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2021, where she also received her Bachelor's in Kinesiology in 2018.
Maggie is committed to providing outstanding care and support to restore function, reduce pain, and improve quality of life. She strives to reach each patient's highest potential through an individualized plan of care and patient education. She is experienced in treatment and functional outcomes with the latest evidence based practice and creativity. Maggie possesses a high outpatient orthopaedic focus and expertise in exercise prescription, pain management, and therapeutic interventions.
