David earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Illinois in 2017. Physical therapy is not his first career, as he was a high school Spanish teacher in Virginia, was an account manager for a transportation company and worked for a publisher before attending PT school.
During PT school, David saw patients in various hospital settings, long-term care, occupational medicine and outpatient orthopedics. He particularly enjoys the interactions with his patients, working with compassion and caring for their well-being. His particular favorite part of PT is seeing his patients improve in their function and mobility, from a variety of diagnoses and physical limitations.
Outside of work, David plays tennis throughout the year and golf in the good weather. As he grew up in Chapel Hill, NC, he enjoys following his Tar Heels during college basketball season, and as a Chicagoan, he roots for the Bears. Favorite travel experiences have included Argentina, Italy, Greece and ski trips. When not doing those things, he enjoys hanging out with his wife of over ten years.
